 Hi, I'm Joshua J. Galus

Joshua “Woody” Galus is a U.S. Veteran, father, and respected coach with a relentless passion for developing youth athletes—both on the field and in life. With more than a decade of experience across recreational leagues, travel programs, and middle school athletics, he’s built a reputation as a leader who coaches with purpose, structure, and heart.

Known by many as Coach Woody, he currently leads a competitive 13U fastpitch travel softball team, coaches at the middle school level, and serves as Vice President of a local middle school softball organization. His approach blends mentorship with technical instruction—prioritizing player confidence, game awareness, and love for the sport.

As a father of three, Coach Woody brings personal passion into every role he holds—actively coaching both of his daughters in softball and his son in baseball and other youth sports. That hands-on involvement fuels his mission: to build confident, capable athletes while also creating spaces where kids feel supported, seen, and inspired.

Most recently, he deepened that commitment by launching his own 13U/14U travel softball team—designed to provide local athletes with access to year-round development, college-level mentorship, and a team culture rooted in accountability and growth.

Whether working with beginners or advanced players, Coach Woody shows up with the same energy and focus every day: to help athletes grow, overcome barriers, and discover what they’re truly capable of—on and off the diamond.
